The Milford Church is a diverse
and multi-cultural Christian community existing from the nations
for the nations. Celebrating the unity found through Christ, we
experience His transforming presence in celebrative worship.
Considering the witness of our unity, we relate to one another
in love as an expression of His presence. Considering those
around us, we train and deploy for service and mission, in an
effort to express His love to our community and beyond that the
name of Christ is glorified.
Our twelve acre campus is located
at 3950 Hicks Road in Austell, a northwest suburb of Atlanta,
Georgia. Founded in 1969 through the visionary leadership of
Pastor Brian Barnett, the church has grown from infancy to the
strength of community influence today, outgrowing two previous
locations and ultimately reaching its Hicks Road location. I
join the Church's five previous pastors in the philosophy of
"...building on a foundation already laid..." (1 Cor 3:10-12)
and understanding that "some plant, some water, but God gives
the increase." (1 Cor 3:6) The members are caring, sharing, and
personal in their ministry towards others, and are always warm
and welcoming to everyone. All of Milford's Ministries are Word
based emphasizing uplifting music, energetic praise and worship,
with concern for the spiritual and personal welfare of all who
attend.
There are ministry opportunities
for the young and the young at heart: ministries for adults,
students, children, singles, music, fine art, drama and
more.....
