Christmas Wrapping Party!

CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONS - NOVEMBER 18, 2007

Celebration of the Nations is a fun and exciting time at Milford Church. Our people, representing over twenty nations of the world, form a parade of flags entering the sanctuary and dressed in the attire of their homeland. It is a beautiful thing to observe. This year we blended World Evangelism emphasis with the celebration and heard a report from Robert Daugherty, Field Representative from the denominational Missions Department. That report outlined Milford's world outreach involvement through various projects over the past two years. David Lorency, President of Opperation Compassion gave a powerful presentation of the partnership between his organization and Milford, further detailing the countries served, lives affected, and souls won through our partnership. What a glorious priviledge and opportunity we have to effect change in lives and living conditions. Dr Ramon Matos, Local Mission Committee Chairman shared our project for next year....to build 15 homes in Jamaica, replacing ones destroyed by hurricanes over the past two years. Thank you to everyone who sacrificed and labored to make it all possible.

Sunday  July  15th  marked  a  special  day  for  nineteen  individuals
(some not in photo)  in  Milford.  Having  gone  through  the  Solid  Foundations  class, these  chose  to  unite  in  full  membership  with  the  Milford  congregation.  We welcome  them  with  open  arms  and  trust  that  we,  as  a  church,  will  always  be to  our  newest  brothers  and  sisters  everything  that  God  expects  of  us.  We also  welcome  their  talents,  gifts,  vision, labor,  and  insight  as  valued  additions  to  our  force  of  one  serving  all.

The Good Shepherd Learning Center 2007 graduation was an awesome presentation of the grace, learning, and trust in the Lord that our students receive every day. Our school has grown from 79 students in the fall of 2004 to over 230 presently. Our Summer Camp program will touch many more lives and families. We are very proud of Mrs. Handy, Director, and all of her staff that work so hard all year for the success of the school and the betterment of the children.
